FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a coach if I'm a beginner?

You don't need one to start, but most beginners get more out of it. Every Group Class is coached, so you get direct feedback from day one whichever membership you pick. If you're leaning toward Online or 1-1 coaching, Program Library works well if you just want proven programming to follow; Performance or Elite 1-1 gives you closer guidance if you'd rather have someone checking your technique and adjusting things as you go.

Do I have to compete if I have a coach?

No. Plenty of people we coach have no interest in stepping on a competition platform, and that's completely fine. Coaching is about getting stronger and improving technique, not just meet prep. If competing is a goal, we'll build toward it, if it isn't, we won't push it.

How often will I communicate with my coach?

It depends on your membership. In Group Classes, you're coached directly every session, so there's nothing needed outside that. With Performance or Elite 1-1, you'll have direct contact with your coach six days a week (8am–8pm), plus weekly programme updates and check-ins. Program Library doesn't include direct coach contact — that's the trade-off for the lower price point.

Are classes for everybody?

Yes. Every level trains in the same sessions, people who've never touched a barbell, and people training for competition. The coaching adapts to you, not the other way around. You don't need to be good enough to join. You just need to show up.

Can I join 1-1/online even if I don't live in Gloucester?

Yes, Program Library and Performance are both fully remote, so you can be anywhere. Elite 1-1 is the one exception, since it's delivered in person, so that's only available if you can train with us in Gloucester. Group Classes are in-person, but we accept drop in's if you're within the area.
